What is prayer? It is basically having a conversation with Yahweh. He is our Heavenly Father and it is very appropriate to address Him in that way when you pray. In fact, we find that Yahshua addressed Yahweh as Abba, which is what little Hebrew children called their earthly fathers. It is a very affectionate, intimate term used in close families.

There are so many different things we can pray about. When we approach Yahweh, we must always come to Him in a humble, respectful way. We are never to demand things of Him. When we ask anything, it must be in Yahshua's Name as He is the one that mediates between us and Yahweh.

Consider making a list of things you'd like to pray about. Some ideas include praying for other people whom you know are having difficulties, thanking Yahweh for all the blessings He gives you, praying for protection for yourself and others, praying for a closer relationship with Yahweh, praying for His will to be done in your life, and praying for strength to overcome evil. Make prayer a part of your day, everyday.
